Course Description: Knowing an elder patient’s usual level of functioning and learning about any recent significant changes are fundamental to providing appropriate health care. Research shows that communication training improves trust dramatically, not only in communicating with patients, but also in assessing and building relationships with them. Communication skills are essential in understanding the issues faced by elder patients and their families. This course will explores the issues faced by aging patients and caregivers.
