Course Description: This course will Ethics and Boundary issues that commonly occur in a psychotherapeutic setting. The course will examine the role of the supervisor to help clinicians avoid ethical pitfalls. The laws of confidentiality will be discuss.

1.  Clinicians will be able to describe the problematic issues associated with boundary violations.

2.  Clinicians will be able to describe how the supervisory role can be used to prevent the violation of boundaries.

3.  Clincians will be able to identify how enactment may lead to sexual misconduct.

4.  Clinicians will be able to identify the ethical and legal principals of confidentiality.
